Men's Group Visit to The Poppy Factory in Richmond Thursday 23 October
Are you interested in:
discovering the home of Remembrance
seeing how veterans still make Royal and regimental wreaths by hand
hearing about the work of the armed forces veterans’ charity
Then why not join us on a visit to The Poppy Factory commencing at 12.30pm, starting with a half hour presentation and then a one-hour self-guided time where you can explore the exhibits and have a go at poppy-making yourself and enjoy refreshments if you want. The cost will be £15 per person (excluding refreshments).
I suggest we make our own way to the venue as you may wish to spend some time in Richmond beforehand. (We are asked not to arrive too early).
The Poppy Factory is a 15 minute walk from Richmond Station or you can catch a bus (number 65 outside the station to Compass Hill which is outside the visitor centre). There is no parking on site but there are parking facilities nearby - see website for more details https://www.poppyfactory.org/
I have booked a provisional number of tickets which need to be confirmed in advance, so please respond to me no later than 8 September if you would like to come along. All are welcome.
