Men's Group Walking Tour of Greenwich Wednesday 13 August

Andrew Warde (our own Blue Badge Guide) will guide us on a summer walk in Greenwich:

Greenwich & the Prime Meridian: discover an ancient palace & park. Greenwich former Royal Naval College has a beautiful riverside setting, and buildings to match. Walk to the top of the hill in the park beyond for the most magnificent view of London where you may stand over the divide between the East and West hemispheres. Hear about the tragic consequence of a dropped handkerchief, the story of a ruined cape and the tale of five exquisite nautical clocks. Be prepared for the final part of the walk in Greenwich Park going up a steep hill.

Andrew is a very knowledgeable London Guide who has entertained us on many occasions in the past.

We shall meet him in Greenwich at 11am for a walk lasting about 2 hours. There will a special discounted tour charge of £6 per person paid direct to Andrew on the day.

If you would like to come along, ladies too, please let me know soonest as we shall be restricting numbers and it will be on a first come, first served basis.

More information will be sent out later to those signed up for the tour.
